Présentation
"Noces ou les confins sauvages is a contemporary story bordering the real and the marvelous. Throughout the pages, the photographer Hélène David offers a crossing of the Mediterranean coast, as an extension of the intimate and the familiar, but also a place of possible emergence for the fantastic and mythologies. (...) Here, the book is thought of as a body, the shapes play with the relief of the paper and each element is chosen to “make a sign”.
Noces invites the reader to explore the coastline of the creeks, perceived as a space for dialogue between the sea, animals and men. It is the story of a common, enchanted and vulnerable becoming. At the gates of the city, Marseille, the bodies are deployed in contact with the elements, enter into a relationship with the non-human living, consent to become permeable to the wild. A world of sensations, perceptions, and sensory experiences opens up, where the body, more alive, more present, engages in a relationship "beyond the human" with the visible and invisible beings who 'surround.
